An exciting day for us, as we strapped the LSX376 on Westech’s dyno and let it rip.
The end result saw the 376ci small-block with a Magnuson 2300 supercharger pump out 694 hp at 6,500 rpm and 671 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm with 12 psi (at peak rpm). At 2,200 rpm, the monster is churning out 600 lb-ft all the way through 5,900 rpm. It's a beast!
We used the factory-diameter balancer/crank pulley (upgraded to an 8-rib setup) thinking the blower would only produce around 8-9 psi, but it surprised all of us and pumped out 12.
Tuning was accomplished using Holley’s new EFI Live and it worked very well. Everyone at Westech was impressed with its easy usability and detailed-oriented accuracy.
We're so please with the results, we're going to keep everything as-is and drop it into our '04 GMC Sierra project truck. We should easily be in the low 11-second range.
