Everyone is gearing up for another season of Formula D! Formula D driver Matt Powers is buttoning up the last few items on his car for the season and is utilizing our Holley HP EFI System in order to control the LS7 powering his Nissan 240SX (S14). Matt is running a Dry-sump LS7 with Comp cams and our EFI for Formula D this season which is quite an improvement over the turbocharged KA24DE (2.4 liter factory engine) that was used up until this point.
After tuning at Westech Performance, Matt’s car is peaking at 563 bhp and 562 lb ft. of torque. The torque curve is great as the car is already making over 400 horsepower at 4000 rpm. Mike Kojima from Motoiq.com filmed the dyno clip and is happy to report that “it has a nice flat power band with useable power from 3000-7100, which is just what Matt needs to compete in this arena.”
