Jody Voyles wins the Super Bowl of small-tire drag racing with Dominator EFI
Jody Voyles has had a very successful season with his ’87 Camaro in the ORTC Ultimate Street Car Class. He ran eight races this year, bringing home three first place finishes and one runner up. In October, 2011, he attended the Super Bowl of small tire racing where people from all over the country to compete.
Not only did Voyles qualify first, but he won the whole race. Voyles runs a 427-ci 18-degree headed small-block Chevy topped with Holley’s Dominator EFI. He relys on Holley EFI to make corrections based on air density on the fly without any human intervention. He uses the Dominator ECU to control the N.O.S. setup tuned and installed by Monte Smith, nitrous guru. The dry spray is particularly dangerous if the fuel injection management can’t add just the right amount of fuel to the mix.
Jody Voyles' '87 Camaro is more consistent than ever with Dominator EFI making it the most winningest car all season in the ORTC Ultimate Street class.
