Matt Powers has been running Holley EFI on his '95 240SX Drifter and competes in Formula Drift. He uses our HP EFI system on his LS7 for all the power he needs to keep the back wheels spinning. Matt also uses Earl's Performance Products for all of his hose and fitting needs. Because these cars run at WOT nearly constantly, everything has to work right.
Powers qualified 17th out of 60 drivers and climbed his way up to the top four. The battle for third saw Powers battle top Japanese drifter Daigo Saito. Powers led first throwing down a super smoky run. Daigo then led, with Powers entering so close to him in the first turn that his car was out of sight, but Daigo and his 1200 horse power Lexus pulled a gap on Powers through turns 9 and 10. Powers was able to close the gap, ultimately hitting Daigo in the last turn, but Daigo was ultimately awarded the champagne.
