It was an all Holley final at the 2014 O'Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 Nationals in Chicago, Illinois. The Pro Stock race cars of Vincent Nobile and Jason Line are both equipped withHolley Gen 3 Ultra Dominator carburetors, and worked their way into the final round. In the end, Nobile cut a .004 light and managed a 6.655 second ET at 208.01 mph to take the win over Lane. “Pro Stock is the highest level of carbureted racing in the world and we’re super proud that our new Gen 3 carbs are delivering what these amazing vehicles need,” said Bill Tichenor, Holley’s director of marketing. This was the ninth win of Nobile's career and first this season. "I knew I had a fast race car," said Nobile, who joined the Summit/Ken Black Racing team with Line and Gregg Anderson a short while ago. Designed specifically for all out racing applications, the Holley Gen 3 Ultra Dominator carburetors are all aluminum and save 3.8 lbs. over original Dominator models. The carbs also feature a patent pending main-body that’s 5/16-inch taller, allowing for larger radius air entries that deliver smoother airflow into a fully machined, big bore venturii. Fuel bowl capacity on the Gen 3 Ultra Dominator is also increased by 20 percent, and redesigned billet aluminum metering blocks are fully adjustable and feature improved gasket sealing. With more Pro Stock and sportsman race wins nearly every week now, the Gen-3 Ultra Dominator carburetor is proving itself as the ultimate racing carburetor.
