AC InstalledWe used a Vintage Air A/C unit and from the previous photos you could see how the firewall was modified to be smooth and accept the bulkhead fittings. This is what it looks like once the A/C is finally installed.
FirewallBecause the Holley Shop Truck will be driven on the Power Tour, it was necessary to utilize a new air conditioning unit. SoCal created a clean area on the firewall for the AC unit including this sheet metal that houses the bulkhead fittings.
Finished Wheel WellsAfter the wheel wells were cut and additonal material welded in the center, you can see the finished product. The wheel wells look stock but provide up to 3–additional inches for wider tires.
Wheel Wells WidenedWhat's a 67 C10 without big rubber in the rear? To accommodate wider tires, the fabricators at SoCal split the rear wheel wells and widened them approximately 3–inches. This gives the '67 more room to fit larger and wider tires in the rear for greater traction.
Floor PanSince the '67 Chevy is going to use a Tremec five–speed manual transmission, a new transmission tunnel had to be designed into the truck's floor pan. Using new sheetmetal, SoCal formed a new tunnel that is the perfect height for our Tremec transmission and a five–speed shifter that is yet to be selected.
