Ever since childhood, Adam Bauer has been a Mustang-fanatic. Like many of us, he recalls memories of playing with Hot Wheels versions while dreaming about one day owning a Mustang of his own. At the age of 16, Adam’s wish came true when his parents bought him a 1966 Fire Engine Red Mustang coupe. Although he now had the car of his dreams, he felt that there was still something missing. Adam told his parents that it just didn’t sound like a Mustang should, and drove the car over to the local muffler shop to install a pair of Flowmaster 40 Series Mufflers. The newly discovered voice of that ’66 Stang began Adam’s now 20 year long relationship with the Flowmaster sound, making it the first upgrade for every Mustang that he has owned since.

In 2015, Adam began searching for his next, and most recent, Mustang. Shocked by dealer mark-ups he decided to try his hand at the used market. While visiting a local dealership, Adam discovered the convertible you see here. Excitement built as Adam noticed that, unbeknownst to the dealer, this was not just another 2013 Mustang GT. It was a GT California Special. A deal was struck and the journey began. Like the previous cars, the first thing Adam modified was the exhaust system and this time around he was looking for an even more aggressive tone. Adam opted for the Flowmaster Outlaw Axle-back to really make his GT’s V8 sing. Additional upgrades came in the way of visual enhancements, beefed-up suspension, and improved lighting with plans for more in the future. Adam told us that his favorite mod thus far has been the Flowmaster exhaust system, as the sound garners compliments wherever he goes. With so much aftermarket support available for these cars, we can’t wait to see what Adam does next and look forward to seeing his Mustang continue to evolve. #TeamFlowmaster
