Drag Racing Takes Center Stage At The 2014 Holley LS Fest

The 2014 Holley LS Fest at Beech Bend Raceway Park, is where some of the fastest cars in the country will be found. Slated for September 5-7th 2014, this year’s racing is sponsored by Soggin Dickey Parts Center and Horsepower TV which allows for nine different racing classes for a variety of participation level from street car to all out pro-racers. In addition The LS Fest is also a part of the NMCA LSX Challenge Series for classes that apply. Contingency and points from the NMCA LSX Challenge Series also applies at the Holley LS Fest. 
What's also great about drag racing at the LS Fest is that with so many classes, you can participate in one or more classes to improve your chance of winning great prizes. Here's a rundown of the type of racing and categories available at this year's LS Fest, scheduled for September 5-7th 2014. 

Lingenfelter Corvette C7- This index style drag racing class is an all-inclusive class for C7 Corvette participants. Each C7 Corvette must have an LT based motor, OEM-style transmission, electronic fuel injection and be stock-appearing. Racing seats are permitted, and each car must comply with applicable NHRA and NMCA safety rules. 
Lingenfelter COPO Shootout- Got a COPO Camaro that's ready to rock and roll? This will be one of the most exciting classes to participate in and watch. Details and rules coming soon.
PAC Racing Springs Pro LSX Drag Class- The fastest LS cars on the planet go head-to-head in the new Pro Extreme LSX class. This 1/8 mile, open rules format invites tube chassis, Outlaw, and even stock suspension cars to battle it out "no holds barred". 

Raymond’s Performance 5th Gen Camaro Challenge- This index style drag racing class is for 5th Gen. Camaro participants with an LS-based motor, OEM-style transmission, electronic fuel injection and stock-appearing with stock body. All races are on a .500 Pro Tree and in an index format. This will be an ALL RUN qualifying format. A Sportsman ladder will determine running order based off Saturday evenings qualifying round, closest to index without exceeding. Vehicles must be driven to staging and to scales, and can be towed after scales. Racing seats are permitted, and each car must comply with applicable NHRA and NMCA safety rules. All vehicles MUST pass NHRA safety inspection for ET and speed.
SAM School of Automotive Machinists LSX All Motor- This a real heads-up shoot-out style class is for naturally aspirated LS small block GM powered cars and trucks that are stock appearing and stock bodied. All races are on a .400 Pro Tree and in a heads up format. This will be an ALL RUN qualifying format. All vehicles MUST pass NHRA/IHRA safety inspection for ET and speed. A Sportsman ladder will determine running order. Vehicles must be driven to staging. 

Chevy High Performance LSX Drag Radial- This single Power Adder Shootout class is for LS powered, GM bodied cars or trucks that are stock appearing and stock bodied. All races are on a .400 Pro Tree and in a heads up format. This will be an ALL RUN qualifying format. All vehicles MUST pass NHRA/IHRA safety inspection for ET and speed. A Sportsman ladder will determine running order. Vehicles may be towed to the staging lanes and from the scales.

Wiseco LSX Real Street- This heads up class is for GM bodied, GM LS powered cars with a power adder that are running on a True 10.5 wide slick or DOT 275 drag radial tire. Entries are limited to only one type of power adder. Class will qualify on a sportsman ladder and will run heads-up using a .400 pro tree. All vehicles must pass a NHRA/IHRA safety inspection for ET and speed.

The School of Automotive Repair All Motor- This is heads up shoot-out style drag racing for normally aspirated LS small block GM body cars and trucks. This is a NATURALLY ASPIRATED heads-up shoot-out style drag racing class. Developed for naturally aspirated LS small block GM powered and bodied cars and trucks that runs on a .400 pro-tree. All of the vehicle in this class just need to be stock in appearance. 

LSX Rumble - This index-style rules class is open to everyone and every combination. All Rumble class competitors may compete for no additional charge in Saturday’s Lingenfelter sponsored LSX True Street class. Runs are made on a .500 pro-tree. 

RCI Performance True Street - True Street is a heads up class for fast street cars. All entries will participate in a 30-mile cruise, then head back to Beech Bend to make some passes down the racetrack. DOT-legal tires, working lights; horns and other street-oriented safety equipment will be required.
