Manual Regen This option is done to clean the DPF Unit. The vehicle must be at running temperatures and there must be more than 10% of fuel to be able to perform this procedure. If the vehicle is not at operating temperatures a message saying “Vehicle Warming Up to Optimal Conditions” will blink until all parameters are reached. If the vehicle does not have enough gas or if the correct temperatures are not reached within 10 minutes, an error message will let the user know of each situation. Once the temperatures are reached, a set of instructions will guide the user on how the procedure works. Five PIDs will display while the process takes place (Regen Stat, EGT12 (Exhaust Gas Temp), ECT (Engine Coolant Temp), Soot Mass and DPF Regeneration percentage). During the process, the engine RPMs will be kept to around 1500 and the temperature PIDs will rise and the soot and DPF PIDs will decline. The vehicle will dictate when the process is complete.
