B&M Performance and Off-Road introduces the new Rock/Race GM TH400 Automatic Transmission specifically designed and built for Off-Road competition. The foundation starts with a tough and tested Reid Racing Super Hydra #400 Off-road race case and SFI 30.1 certification bell housing that fits all Chevrolet 90 degree V8’s including early and late LS engines and 4.3L V6 engines. Upgrades include a new super tough 300M (Rockwell Hardness) alloy steel 30 spline input shaft, a new Direct Drum with 34 element sprag and a wide Intermediate band for increased engine braking capability, strength and performance. Other features include a Billet 1045 alloy steel forward hub with bearing, four friction Intermediate clutch pack and a Reid Racing tail housing with roller bearing providing superior support for the 32 spline output shaft. The forward pattern manual valve body has been recalibrated to ensure constant pressure, quick shift response and provides engine braking. The transmission is finished off with a B&M Hi-Tek finned aluminum trans pan which both increases fluid capacity and quickly dissipates heat generated by tough off-road race conditions. Handles up to 900 HP/900 LB/FT.
