Originally an ICE-powered land speed racer built in 1958, the “Little Giant” racer has recently made the switch to EV power. Two Tesla Model S motors paired off with a custom battery pack designed to push the kind of amperage needed for a land-speed run have taken the “Little Giant” to an average of 353 MPH and a vMax speed of 359 MPH…faster than it was with V8 power.
