Hooker Headers is proud to announce the availability of Super Competition engine swap headers for retro fitting LS1 engine into 1967-69 F-bodies, P/N 2288HKR. The 2288KR headers utilized lightweight 18 gauge tuned length 1-3/4” primaries merging into long 3” O.D. smooth transition slip-fit collectors for a simple, leak-free installation. The tight tuck collectors provide 1 to 3 inches of extra ground clearance on lowered vehicles. Thick 5/16” machined flanges result in a perfect leak free seal against the cylinder heads. The 2288HKR headers come with 3” to 2.5” slip-fit reducers with O2 sensor bungs incorporated. Additional weld-in O2 bungs are included for those who want to run a 3” exhaust system. The 2288HKR headers will fit most manual and automatic GM transmissions including the popular 5 and 6 speed overdrives. The 2288HKR headers are designed to be used with Hookers LS-1 engine swap adapter plates. P/N 12611HK which properly positions the engine between the frame rails. All necessary hardware and gaskets are included for a hassle free installation.
