If you've ever experienced the desert area around Victorville and Barstow, California, then you know just how desolate it can be out there. The sand, the rocks, the never-ending mesquite bushes...it is a rough and tumble place that will break machines that aren't up to the task. And right now, that's exactly what is happening out in Johnson Valley Off-Road Park, as the 2021 King of the Hammers event is testing man and machine in every possible way. You want off-road action? You want to see just how punishing the desert can be? This is ground zero for the brutality. Boulders the size of small hatchbacks litter the area. Rock-faced hills will challenge anyone who is trying to climb them and it won't be uncommon to see somebody return to the bottom of the hill with their tires in the air. Sandy paths that look like it's time for full throttle will have points of deception that will frighten even the most dedicated speed freak, and there will be plenty of airtime to be had.

Between now and February 6th, 2021, Johnson Valley ORV becomes "Hammertown" and all sorts of good times will go down. On Monday, February 1, 2021 the Holley EFI Shootout presented by King Shocks and Action Sports Canopies will take place. This is a free-for-all attack at a trail that is less "trail" and more "glacial boulder field" and is known for bringing out the competitive enthusiasm of drivers. What is the motivation behind this, besides bragging rights? Money, of course. There is a total of $12,500 up for grabs, with 1st Place taking home $7,500, 2nd Place taking $2,500 and a Bounty Hill pot of $2,500 up for grabs. Money is nice, and bragging rights mean everything here, so whether the drivers picked their way through the mess cleanly or simply hit the gas and let fate decide what happens next, it will be a good time for anyone watching. Oh, that's right...you can watch at home, as the entire King of the Hammers event is being streamed!

But that isn't the only important thing going on. Vaughn Gittin, Jr and Loren Healy will be debuting the new livery for the Fun-Haver Off-Road team's twin 4400 Unlimited Class Ford Broncos. Alongside Ford driver Jason Scherer, they will debut the look in public on Wednesday at 12 p.m. Pacific time, in person and broadcast via the King of the Hammers livestream, and later that day they will qualify (approximately 4 p.m. PST). Both of the liveries were designed by RTR with guidance from the Ford Design Studio and will highlight the essence of the new Ford Bronco.

Be sure to tune in and check out all of the live-streamed action, brought to you by Ultra4Racing!
