The tropical storm has passed and with it a very wet Saturday at South Georgia Motorsports Park, racers began early Sunday morning preparing their cars for the final day of battle. Spectators were water logged but happy to see their favorite drivers lay it all out on the line for one of the biggest radial tire races of the year.

Pro 275 found the Preston Brothers pushing through the third round but bowed out of the semi-finals due to a part failure. Meanwhile, Lil' Evil continued his blistering low E.T's into the final round where he faced JD Campbell's 68 Camaro. The Vortech blown Mustang spun early into the run giving Campbell the win with his clean A-B pass.

One selling point to spectators for the Radial versus the World class is the wide variety of race cars and combinations entering the lanes. On Sunday afternoon, we found Stevie Fast Jackson in his screw-blown pro modified Camaro take on the factory body 69 Camaro of Tim Slavens. Slavens unfortunately did not manage power well enough and spun, giving Stevie Fast the win and the cash prize.

Ultra Street record holder Matt Bell unfortunately did not get the tire planted and went out earlier in the day and spectators found themselves watching a close heads up final round. Brian Keep left with a near perfect reaction time and in a classic holeshot victory defeated Joel Greathouse with his 4.681 to Greathouse's 4.687.

Limited Drag Radial was a competitive class this weekend with many tight races leaving us with Eddie Harrison in his twin-turbo Camaro facing Jim Howe's blown 68 Camaro. Howe left first, but Harrison chased him down with a 4.13 defeating the blower car's 4.20 run. This was Howe's first defeat in a points event this season!

X275 found a lot of heavy hitters being eliminated early in the event and our final round featured Mike Cerminaro driving a 2002 Trans Am and Charles Hull's red foxbody Mustang. Spectators saw drivers leave the starting line together, but Hull unfortunately broke loose while Cerminaro finished his run with a smooth mid 4.35 pass giving him the victory.
