Holley's Intergalactic Ford Festival attracts extremely rare and interesting Ford hardware from across the universe...including Norm Murdock's 1972 Ford Capri RS2600 vintage racer. It's one of two Capri racers built by Ford of Germany and campaigned in IMSA and Trans-Am in the 1970's.

Extremely popular in Europe, Ford sold about half a million Capris from 1970 to 1977. Norm's Capri sports a mechanically-injected Essex-Westlake V6 engine displacing three liters and revving to 7,500 RPM. Norm feeds his 12:1-compression 60-degree six cylinder a steady diet of VP 110 fuel and rows the gears in a race-prepped ZF dog-leg five-speed gearbox (first gear is to the left and down).

Fun fact: The doors on Norm's Capri were the first product made by BBS in 1969...before BBS started making wheels.
