The Husky Liners/Patterson Racing COPO Camaro, equipped with Holley EFI, set a NHRA National Record in the CC/SA Class. Driven by Todd Patterson, the COPO Camaro ran 9.25 at 142 mph run during the NHRA Sunflower National Open, held at the Sunflower Rod and Custom Association (SRCA) Drag Strip in Great Bend, Kansas. "We felt great about the run," said Todd Patterson of Patterson Racing. "It was awesome to be the first one to set a record in the COPO Camaro with our Patterson built 427 CI Engine." The COPO Camaro is a General Motors factory built race car that comes equipped with a Holley HP EFI engine control unit, Holley Hi-Ram intake manifold and Earl's brand transmission coolers. According to Todd Patterson, the team has been consistently tuning both the chassis and the engine and have been running faster during each outing. "When we installed the new Patterson Racing Power Plant, we selected Holley EFI to tune the engine to maximum horsepower." said Patterson. "This is just another example of the success of the Holley EFI," says Robin Lawrence, Director of Sales for Holley Performance Products. "We assisted the Patterson team with the engine tuning on the dyno. During track testing, the numbers were there, and showed that the record was within reach." While the Patterson Racing team is only four races into the 2013 season, they seem confident that the Holley EFI equipped COPO Camaro, will continue to be successful.
