What better way to start the new year off than with some clean Fox-chassis Fords? The Fox platform that debuted underneath the 1978 Ford Fairmont would go on to underpin sedans like the Mercury Marquis and Ford Granada, coupes like the Lincoln Mark VII and Mercury Capri, a coupe-utility (the short-lived, low-production Ford Durango) and most famously, the Mustang. So we thought that it would be a special treat to show you some photos that we got from the Foxtoberfest 2021 show held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The 10th anniversary of Foxtoberfest saw over 700 Fox-chassis Ford, Mercury and Lincoln vehicles fill the show fields. Everything from rough Mustangs in progress to built Thunderbirds and Cougars were on the property, as well as a chassis dyno to test out those power claims. So long as it was built on a Fox platform and had rolled off of a Ford assembly line between 1978 and 1993, each and every car was welcomed into the show with open arms. Zephyrs, Continentals, and even rare sights like SAAC Mustangs and early Saleens were easy to spot. Here's just a few highlights from the show...we could've shot every last car if we had the time!
