Sauter Wins Truck Series Opener with Holley EFI, All-New NT1 Engine

Former Cup Series star "Front Row Joe" Nemechek made it a Holley EFI clean sweep of the podium. In fact, the entire top five, including fourth-place Ben Rhodes and fifth-place Scott Lagasse Jr., all ran Holley EFI, as did nine of the top 10 and 20 of the top 22 finishers. Powered by the all-new NT1 engine with a Holley throttle body and fuel pump, ACCEL coils and spark plug wires, Hooker BlackHeart headers, HydraMat fuel reservoir, and Earl’s plumbing under the hood, Sauter earned his third victory at Daytona and the 18th of his career.
"The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is the latest race series to add Holley EFI, and the debut at Daytona really couldn't have gone much better," said Holley Director of EFI Business Development Robin Lawrence. "Demand has outpaced our initial forecasts, and 27 of 32 cars in the field were running Holley EFI fuel management. Teams seem happy with the performance of the new combination, and the racing was great."
