Super Competition™ Headers for 1998-99 LS1 Camaro’s and Firebird’s
Hooker headers is announcing the availability of their Competition headers P/N 2290HKR for 1998-99 LS1 Camaro’s and Firebird’s. The 2290HKR is a tuned length long tube header for off-road use only.
The 2290HKR headers utilized lightweight 18 gauge mandrel bent mild steel. The 30” tuned length 1-7/8” primaries merge into a 3” slip fit Power Spear™ collector for a simple, leak-free installation. Tuned length primaries increase exhaust velocity for huge performance gains and the slip fit collectors provided 1 to 3” additional ground clearance for lowered applications. All Hardware, gaskets, O2, A.I.R., EGR fittings are included for a complete installation.
Hooker’s 2290HKR header comes finished with a baked on high heat resistant black paint or for a show look Hooker also offer’s the 2290HKR header with a Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating, P/N 2290-1HKR or in vibratory polished stainless steel, P/N 2290-2HKR.
Available separately for the 2290HKR LS1 headers is an optional off-road aluminized Y-Pipe for 98-99 LS1 equipped Camaros and Firebirds, P/N 16723HKR or in stainless steel, P/N 16723-2HKR. The Y-pipe allows for quick installation up to any stock location cat-back system.
