After two days of battling extreme temperatures and intense silt, Jesse Haines was able to end the WE Rock western series with a podium finish in Goldendale. Haines debuted his pro mod car “Pokey” by winning the Goldendale event last year, but has yet to repeat that success in the super-competitive unlimited class this year.

Prior to the Goldendale event, Jesse Haines made some important changes to his Superchips rock crawler. Haines said – “Our track width has been hurting us all year, with other teams being as much as 8″ narrower. We changed to a narrower Trail Gear wheel, and put on some new Trepadors to help us dig in the Goldendale silt.” The team, with Mike Berard as the new spotter this year, has improved at each event. That consistent improvement allowed the team to also finish third in series points. Check out a video of Jesse’s ride here.
