Are you tired of looking outside and seeing gray skies, bare trees, wet roads and all the other signs of the late stages of winter? We sure are. We can't wait for flowers to start blooming, for the sun to make more than a guest appearance, for temperatures to be warmer outside than the interior temperature of the freezer and all of that good stuff. And if you're in Florida, Texas, Arizona, or anywhere else where winter exists for about two weeks before moving on...we get it, but can it. Most of the Northern Hemisphere is still chilling out and waiting. The fun times of the snowy, wintery wonderland that looks so great before Christmas has gone by and these are the gray days of blech before everything comes back to life.

But just because the outside looks depressing doesn't mean that you have to be depressed! The guys from The Kibbe and Friends Show are here to put a smile on your face with a movie review that will do just that: the unbelievably iconic Dumb and Dumber. In 1994, Jim Carrey could do no wrong when it came to making a comedy film. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and The Mask had been released earlier in the year before Dumb and Dumber's December 1994 theatre opening, and if there was any question as to whether Fire Marshall Bill from In Living Color was going to be a superstar, those three movies answered them. Jeff Daniels had a solid film career going, which made his role opposite Carrey even more impactful. According to Daniels, he had three of his agents go out of their way to try to keep him from taking the role, believing that they were witnessing a serious actor preparing to sink his career in one shot. Whether their panic occurred before or after they saw the script, we are left to wonder.

Kibbe and Friends Mutts Cutts Van

Don't think that this is just a comedy show this time around...there is plenty of automotive content! Surprisingly, there is plenty of cars to note in Dumb and Dumber. The most obvious answer is the "Mutts Cutts" Van, which is a 1984 Ford Econoline wrapped in enough super-shag carpeting to give us hives. Imagine having to vacuum off the bugs from the front of this thing? There is the Taco 22 minibike that Harry and Lloyd ride across the Great Planes on, the Lamborghini Diablo, the Cadillac limousine...okay, those are pretty much all the winners unless the bus full of beautiful bikini-clad models qualifies as a "desired vehicle". But it's a funny movie nonetheless.

There is the usual Kibbe and Friends fun that goes along with their movie review: Kibbe's prizes that he bought from Cooter's Place in Nashville, Tennessee during a recent trip will be explained. The winners of their recent limerick contest will be announced, and we get the unfortunate news that Corndog's Charger's latest trip into town resulted in an engine that was making Little Drummer Boy noises when it got back to the house. Don't weep for the Charger. Just look at it this way: it's time to build something better! Not that we'd happily suggest a Gen III Hemi swap, but it's not a bad idea!
