Memorial Day is a time to reflect upon the sacrifices made by a select few of the population who made the ultimate sacrifice in the hopes that future generations could live in freedom as a result. There is often a bit of a debate that stirs up each year about whether the holiday is meant to be a somber remembrance day or whether it is a day to celebrate. The truth is that it is both. Yes, you absolutely should remember those who gave their all and more, but they wouldn't want you teary-eyed all day. You should enjoy the day as they would have enjoyed the day, out in the early summer weather, with friends and family, enjoying life. A pig roast barbecue with family sounds...well, to be frank, it sounds very tasty indeed...but sounds like a great way to spend the extended weekend, and Kibbe and Friends member "Corndog" Cornette did just that over the weekend. It's a family tradition, where they say goodbye to Wilbur with a bit of hickory smoke and barbecue sauce.
It's also a summer of blockbuster movies, and one that the guys have been waiting on for what seems like forever has finally arrived. Top Gun: Maverick has hit movie theatres and to say that the guys are impressed would be an understatement. We'll let Rob, Corndog and Bernie give you their takes on the movie but suffice it to say that they are big fans. You kind of have to be in order to see the same movie in theatres more than once, don't you?
There's plenty more going on, including the work on Rob's "Kibbe Lee" Charger, giveaways, Bernie's sort-of depressing news, and a Dukes of Hazzard review from late in Season 7. So hit the button below and give the latest episode of Kibbe and Friends a listen!
