Chuck Watson Sr., Leonard Libersher, Scott Libersher, and Carl Tasca joined founding member Geoff Turk in the prestigious Holley EFI 7-Second Club, which is reserved for the first five Factory Super Car competitors to break into the seven-second zone at an official NMCA event. Turk wheeled his Dodge Challenger Drag Pak an historic 7.99 in the first qualifying session of the first race of the 2018 season and was the only driver all year to crash through the 8-second barrier. 



This year, in the same session of the same season-opening event, Muscle Car Mayhem in Bradenton, Fla., Watson's COPO Camaro, the Libershers' COPOs, and Tasca's Cobra Jet Mustang ran in the seven-second zone to round out the exclusive club and pocketed $1,000 Holley product certificates and custom Holley EFI 7 Second Club jackets to commemorate their achievements. Turk collected a whopping $10,000 from Holley last year – $5,000 for the once-in-a-lifetime run and a $5,000 bonus because he ran Holley EFI. Tasca and both Libershers also run Holley EFI putting all three makes (Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford) in the club while running Holley systems.



"I was thrilled to make it into the club, and Holley EFI is a great product," Tasca said. " My family has been running Holley stuff since way back in the '60s. We're still learning this whole EFI deal, but it just gets better all the time. We're very happy with the whole system, and I think you're going to see a lot of Holley cars in the winner's circle this year."

Said Scott Libersher, who made his history-making pass side-by-side with son Leonard, "This is a great program Holley came up with. We all knew this was going to be the race where it happened, and those five spots were really coveted. People really wanted to be in this. Holley EFI is a great tuning tool to balance power and traction. Any problem we've ever had was operator error – getting after it too hard or not hard enough – and not a problem with the system. It's worked perfect every time."
