Mid-Pipes Explained

Dyno-proven power producers but sometimes forgotten, crossover pipes are superior performers compared to true dual exhaust systems and offer a more refined exhaust note. We offer direct bolt-on kits for many cars as well as universal crossovers that can be integrated into OEM style and custom exhaust systems.


X-Pipe: X-Pipe's with their straight through design are built with the most aggressive high-pitched exhaust note in mind, along with a more straight through design. This is designed to give your car a more exotic and raspy exhaust note. This type of mid-pipe will make the most horsepower over stock in the higher RPM ranges.


H-Pipe: H-Pipe's are perfect if you want a cleaner exhaust note that has a deep tone for that more traditional hot rod sound. H-Pipe's tend to make a bigger difference in the low RPM ranges, because of the increased backpressure in comparison to an x-pipe, which often nets more low end torque.


Y-Pipe: Perfect solution for a V6 or 4-Cylinder or a car that just has a single exit. Y-Pipe's have proven to be sufficient for mildly modified cars. Once you start to make a bunch of power, the increased airflow from an X or H-Pipe gives you much more room to increase horsepower and torque.
