Handing over the keys

This is the last edition of Gearhead News that I'll be sending out. I've enjoyed my time providing you with the latest stories, products, and other updates from Holley, but it's time for me to take the next step in my life. Although I'll still be tinkering with my projects, I've handed the keys of this newsletter over to a new Holley employee who you'll meet below. Don't worry though, he's an F-body owner and gearhead as well. So before I go, I just wanted to say thank you to all of the readers out there who make this newsletter possible. New Flowtech Late Model Truck Headers

Flowtech has rolled out offerings for '99-06 GM, '09-13 Dodge, and '04-07 Ford V8 1/2 ton trucks, as well as '05-11 Toyota Tacomas and '07-09 FJ Cruisers with the 4.0L V6. All of these headers feature mandrel bends, TIG-welds, and all the gaskets and hardware to make for an easy-installation. Click HERE to see how Flowtech can bring your truck to life!

NOS Pro-Bigshot Solenoid and -AN Combo Wrench

NOS is the name when it comes to nitrous oxide. The Pro-Bigshot solenoid is no exception, featuring a huge .250" orifice to flow massive amounts of nitrous. It is encased in clear-anodized, lightweight billet aluminum base. Also new is the -AN combination wrench from NOS, which has provisions for -3, -4, -6, and -8 AN sizes, as well an 1-1/4" bottle nut service size. For more information, check out www.nosnitrous.com.

Shadow Black Street Demons

Holley's new Shadow Black ceramic coating wraps all of the features of Street Demon carbs in a subtle, yet aggressive package to add the perfect touch to the top of your engine. Check out the complete press release HERE.

SEMA Success

Holley unveiled their EFI Digital Dash to be used with their Terminator, HP, and Dominator EFI systems. The Holley EFI Digital Dash claimed SEMA's Best Engineered New Product award for its innovation, quality, and technical achievement! For the entire story, click HERE.

Carbon Black Intake Manifolds

We’ve introduced a new ceramic coating to match the subdued engine bays that have become so popular. We know that polished aluminum or chrome isn't the answer for everyone, so we've come up with the Carbon Black coating for our intake manifolds. Not only does it look great, but it is also heat and corrosion resistant. To top it all off, it's an easy to clean finish so you can keep your engine bay looking squared away with minimal effort. Racer Success

If your race car has a blue oval on the front of it, you probably know that the NMRA season came to a close in our hometown of Bowling Green on October 5th. We wanted to give "Bad" Bart Tobener a special congratulations. Bart tore through the NMRA Edlebrock Renegade field all year, bringing home four victories and becoming the first in the class to eclipse the 7 second barrier. For the complete story, click HERE. New Holley EFI Gen III Hemi Harnesses

Holley is pleased to announce the addition of plug-and-play wiring harnesses to use our HP and Dominator EFI systems with Chrysler's Gen III Hemi engines! This includes the main ECU, ignition, fuel injector, and drive by wire harnesses to make adding Holley EFI to your Mopar hot rod a snap! 2014 LS Fest Overview

The 2014 iteration of Holley's LS Fest was the biggest and most exciting yet, attracting over 10,000 spectators and 500 competitors. Check out our overview HERE, and be sure to mark it on your calendars for September 11-13, 2015!

Check out the Herrador Motorsports "Desert Attack" video HERE. The Herrator is a 4x2 off-road racing vehicle that competes in races such as the Dakar rallies, African rallies, and various Baja races. It is powered by an LS3 which is controlled by our HP EFI.

Arnett Puts COPO Up Front

Clay Arnett qualified for the Fall Classic with the quickest NHRA Stock Eliminator Pass ever. Every single COPO Camaro produced since 2013 comes equipped with Holley EFI. Watch it HERE. Congratulations Clay!

My car on the dyno

Here's a short clip of my car during some initial tuning. This is on low boost which is around 11-12 psi. Next time around, we'll see what it does on 20+ psi!

Hey guys and girls, I'm Alex Healey, the new editor of this newsletter. I recently graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in English. I also spent seven years in the Kentucky Army National Guard as a mechanic, during which I deployed to Iraq for Operation New Dawn. I've been a gearhead since birth, and I've been fortunate enough to own many cool cars over the years, but this Trans Am is the only one that has stuck. It's gone from daily driver, to a 10 second street/strip car...
 
 
 
... to this. My aspirations have progressed much faster than the car has over the past five years. The car has almost caught up to where I want it to be thanks to a lot of help from the guys down at Late Model Racecraft. The car now features a Forged LS2 put together by Late Model Engines, an ATI Powerglide and converter, Burkhart Chassis rear suspension, and a 76mm Precision Turbo pressurizing the intake charge. I hope to break into the 8s next spring once everything is ironed out.
 
Stay tuned over the next few months as my car continues  to evolve. I plan to throw some Holley parts at it, including  a Holley Dominator EFI ECU, in the neverending search for more power!
