Holley's People News

Almost every day on the way into work, I can spot Colin Kinser's 1992 Ford Mustang LX from at least an 1/8 mile away, if not more. A lot of that may have to do with the attention grabbing Calypso Green paint, but it's not everyday that you see a Fox-Body done so correctly. However, this is by no means a garage queen show car. It is a daily driven, 500+ horsepower car that gets driven like it should.

The XXR 521 wheels give the car a nice, modern look that sets it apart from the average Fox. There's more to this car than looks though. Underneath the hood lies a stock block 306 filled with forged rods and pistons that swing on a polished and balanced stock crank. ARP head bolts hold down Trickflow 170cc cylinder heads. The intake charge is pressurized by a Turbonetics 61 mm turbo that exhales through a Holley 80 mm billet throttle body. A Precision wastegate is tasked with venting excess exhaust to control boost.

To keep the engine happy, Colin is running a Holley Dominator EFI system to control fueling, ignition, and boost. To keep tabs on all of the parameters controlled by the Holley EFI unit, Colin has both the 5.7" and 3.5"  LCD touchscreens installed within eyesight.

For more information on Colin's car, be sure to slide over to the Holley forums and check out his post!
