i got this truck from my father after the covid19 happened to his household. this vehicle was a functioning hybrid of propane and gasoline. i have successfully removed the propane components due to being outdated and heavy. i kept the air cleaner to save a buck. some recent work i have done; -the Qochester Quadrajet carburetor has been replaced with a Holley 4 barrel, 80457S 600 carburetor. -the Delphi mechanical fuel pump has been replaced with Holley black mighty mite electronic fuel pump, specter performance bypass regulator with new return line, Aeromotive fuel pressure gauge. -dual exhaust mufflers have been replaced with Flow Master FX 2.5" dual mufflers. -stock suspension components have been updated with new socks, leaf spring bushings, body mounts, steering damper. -the ignition system has been updated, i made the spark plug socks from some 2" thermal tubing that i had left over from insulating the fuel lines. -wrapped the exhaust manifolds with Lava Fiber insulating wrap to help reduce heat-soak and vapor-lock. -stock intake manifold has been replaced by a new Edelbrock Performer EPS Intake Manifold.
