The OEM valve covers do not need to be removed to install these chrome caps (just remove the bolts, breathers, oil fill, and PVC & reuse these parts after the caps are installed). These covers cannot be used without the stock OEM Covers since these are just chrome caps.

Chrome plated steel valve cover caps. Fits over OEM Valve Covers on 1987-97 GM small block truck applications only. These caps fit over the top of the OEM valve covers & the OEM covers use the stock fill cap, breathers, PCV, grommets, and Hardware.
