Dinan Performance Chips take full advantage of 91+ octane fuel unleashing additional power by recalibrating the ignition timing and air/fuel mixture parameters of the engine management system. Furthermore, the performance software safely raises the factory rev-limit, providing a broader power band and greater road-speed potential in each gear. Significant power gains are achieved at part throttle as well as providing additional performance where the cars are driven most often. Some ECUs, particularly warranty replacements, have soldered-in stock chips and no socket. Dinan will install a socket on the computer for $250 plus shipping. This ECU can come with either a 24-Pin or 28-Pin stock chip. The chip will fit both configurations. Older production models will have an early version ECU which contains 5 matching square stock chips. No Performance Chips are available for this type of ECU.
