For some, a pickup truck is nothing more than an appliance that gets them and their stuff from point A to point B. Josh Satterfield however, is one of the others who see their truck as a symbol of expression and something to have fun with. Satterfield rolls in a 2005 Ford F-150; a truck that he’s loved since the day he brought it home.

This beautiful Vermillion Red F-Series isn’t Josh’s first experience with a Ford pick-up, nor his first vehicle to sing the sweet Flowmaster sound. His previous F-150 was a truck that he enjoyed so much that when the time came to replace it, he picked up another. Additionally, the first F-150 made its presence known by scavenging gases through a pair of Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers, receiving compliments just about everywhere he would go.

Naturally, when Josh took possession of his current F-150, one of the first things he had installed was a Flowmaster exhaust system to let the truck’s healthy V8 breathe freely. However, as many enthusiasts know from experience, only making one modification to a vehicle is almost never possible. Following the new exhaust system, a Rough Country 6” lift was installed with Freedom Off-Road tubular control arms, and Bilstein 5100 shocks to complete the suspension overhaul. With the new ride height, the stock wheels and tires were no longer making the cut. Instead 20” Moto Metal wheels wrapped in 35×12.50 Nitto Trail Grapplers rolled their way onto Satterfield’s truck.

After the new exhaust, suspension, and wheels were taken care of, the F-150’s exterior was given some custom treatment as well. The stock headlights were replaced with blacked out Harley Davidson buckets and paired with a 6000k HID conversion to really light the way ahead. Further adding to the Ford’s already aggressive looks is a Westin bull bar that Satterfield put in place to protect the truck’s front-end. Blacked out Ford emblems complete the new look and tie everything together.

Having owned the truck for over 4 years and racking up over 200,000 miles, Josh says he doesn’t have a single regret in purchasing his F-150. No additional mods are planned at the moment, but Satterfield intends to keep on racking up the miles while savoring the dulcet sound of his American Thunder system.
