In case you're confused reading the title, no, you aren't mistaken...we have two separate events at LS Fest West that allow for full-fledged tire-melting action that the crowds swarm for. Two? That seems a bit excessive, don't you think? How difficult can a burnout contest be? Car drives up, does a standstill burnout, then leaves and lets the next car come up. That is how it works, right?

Oh, sweet summer child...how wrong you are.

The Burnout Contest gives competitors one minute in a corralled pit to cut completely loose. Full Aussie rules, no standstill burnouts allowed. You get sixty seconds to impress a highly energized crowd who are borderline manic, and they will decide your fate like the crowds at the Coliseum, cheering to influence our Caesar's decision for who wins and who does not. Just be grateful that a lion isn't involved.

That wasn't unhinged enough for you, there is the Donut Pit. If the Burnout Contest is the Coliseum, the Donut Pit is the Thunderdome. You want wild action? You'll get your fill, guaranteed. Drifting, stunts, howling engines...all of it.
