Web UX/UI Designer

Holley Performance Products seeks a UX/UI Designer for a full-time role within an aftermarket automotive organization in Bowling Green, KY. This role works collaboratively with the Web Marketing Manager, Web Content team and the Product Management team to support Holley’s digital marketing strategy. You’ll be a part of a highly talented group of marketing and web professionals.

The ideal candidate will conceptualize website design ideas based UI/UX best practices, creating wireframe mockups, landing pages, and optimizing digital properties for maximum performance, scalability and responsiveness.

Role and Responsibilities:

The UX/UI Designer position is responsible for usability, design, and layout of our website properties. Including the following:

  • Develop concepts and translate into designed wireframes, prototypes, and graphic mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces for development
  • Design UI experiences for web and email assets with an understanding of browser sizes and device capabilities to ensure consistency across all of our digital properties
  • Expand upon existing template designs, UI components, and style guidelines
  • Create and maintain detailed UI specifications to maintain UI quality for consistency and ongoing improvement across all digital experiences and implement them company-wide
  • Create engaging prototypes for user testing, research methods, and analysis on the corporate website to understand user needs, drive decisions, and apply learnings to continually improve the user experience
  • Collaborate and work closely with team, developers, and management by listening, understanding, and responding to their needs while ensuring designs are implemented correctly
  • Participate in regular meetings to give and receive status reports on projects that require cross-functional support
  • Update website graphics as needed
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the field of graphic, visual, and web design and apply to work

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Strong ability to communicate design concept ideas through sketches, prototypes, and wireframes
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, etc.)
  • Understanding of front-end web and mobile technologies such as CSS/HTML
  • Knowledge of new design, web, and mobile trends and technique
  • Excellent organization and time management skill
  • 4 Year Degree Preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong ability to communicate design concept ideas through sketches, prototypes, and wireframes
  • UX/UI web design experience, on a large, consumer-facing e-commerce website a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and processes and simplify them for the customer
  • Ability to present and defend designs in group critiques
  • Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights
  • The ability to work with a team and independently in iterative design process
  • Being a fast, independent learner able to master new skills quickly
