Join the Holley Performance crew for a solid week of automotive festivities as they hit the road with Hot Rod Magazine for the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour! The Holley crew will again be making the “long haul” to all seven Power Tour locations stretching all the way from Madison, Wisconsin to Gonzales, Louisiana. Make sure to honk and wave if you see the Holley gearheads along the way. Two of their development vehicles will be present on tour: Hooker Headers' 2015 BlackHeart Mustang GT and Holley’s LS-powered 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. The Mustang features Hooker Headers' BlackHeart premium stainless exhaust system components. This includes a set of stainless steel long tube headers with 1 3/4" primaries along with a BlackHeart 3" stainless steel cat back exhaust and x-pipe system. A Diablosport T1000 Trinity tuner will be ensuring the BlackHeart Mustang is making the most of these upgrades. The BlackHeart Mustang will be used for further product development through early 2016. LS Swaps are becoming increasingly popular for A/G-body applications. Bearing that in mind, Holley developed their A/G-body LS swap products on their 1986 Monte Carlo SS. A 6.0 LS engine was installed in its new home with Hooker’s engine mount plates, transmission crossmember and Holley LS engine swap oil pan. Exhaust duties fell to Hooker LS swap headers and 3" exhaust system for A/G-body swaps. Holley’s accessory drive system and A/C setup make sure all of the Monte’s occupants stay cool and Holley EFI ensures the engine and trans stay tuned up for optimum performance. For 2015, Holley will again be participating as a Power Tour Cruise Night sponsor. Their sponsored stop will be taking place June 8th at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois. At Gateway, Holley will be accepting sign-ups at their trailer for the giveaway of a self-tuning Terminator EFI system. The winner will be announced on stage the same evening during the on-stage festivities. Carburetor rebuild races will once again take place at the Holley trailer throughout the day at Gateway with prizes being awarded to the winners of each face-off. The two fastest competitors of the day will face the ultimate test on stage later that evening as they compete against one another to declare a final winner. A certificate for a free Holley carburetor will follow the winner off stage when the dust settles! The fun doesn’t stop there as ten lucky contestants will have the opportunity to face off against one another in a test to see who can lay down the best burnout in the Gross Display of Horsepower competition. Sign-up for this limited competition will be also be held at Holley’s trailer at Gateway. Make sure to head to the drag strip bleachers at 4:45 p.m. on Holley’s cruise night to see all the action unfold and help Roadkill host Mike Finnegan, as he relies on the crowd to decide which Power Tour competitor is most proficient at turning rubber into clouds! The winner of the burnout competition will receive a $500 gift certificate for use toward Holley products, as well as a certificate for a free set of tires (up to 20'') courtesy of Continental Tire. Holley’s Hot Rod Power Tour promotions will continue throughout the week. All week, Holley will be conducting their Online Digital Scavenger Hunt. Each morning of the Power Tour, Holley will announce what they are looking for on their Holley Performance Facebook page (www.facebook.com/holleyperformance). Throughout the day, participants can submit their Scavenger Hunt photos to Holley via their Facebook page. Winners will be announced on stage every evening of the tour so make sure to be present at the stage each night if you’re looking to win! The prizes will be well worth it! Make sure to keep track of them on their journey by following them on Facebook (www.facebook.com/holleyperformance), Instagram (@holleyperformance), and Twitter (@holley_news) throughout the week.
