Holley’s 2025 SEMA Build Coverage: Fourth-Gen Camaro Part 3

10/17/2025

Since our last SEMA project update, the Holley Performance team has been hard at work dialing in the suspension and drivetrain on our super low-mile 1995 Camaro. With the LT4 and 6L80 combo now nestled in place, the focus has turned to getting the Chevy back on its wheels—and it’s shaping up to be something special.

A Custom Touch Up Front

Looking at the front of the car, you’ll notice a one-off front splitter designed in-house and 3D-printed right here at Holley. It’s still in the rough stage, but the plan is to sand it down and finish it to show-car quality. If it gets a positive response, we might even consider putting it into production for fourth-gen Camaros.

Behind that splitter, the front fenderwell is packed with serious stopping power courtesy of Baer Brakes—massive two-piece rotors paired with 6S calipers. Supporting the setup is a suite of suspension components from our friends at QA1 and Detroit Speed Engineering (DSE).

The highlight up front is a QA1 double-adjustable coil-over with a remote reservoir, connected to our Baer Tracker tie-rod ends and a DSE quick-ratio power steering rack and shaft kit. This setup not only enhances steering precision but also improves clearance for our LS swap oil pan. Rounding things out is a Detroit Speed front sway bar, completing a serious handling package.

Built to Hook Out Back

Moving to the rear, the Baer Brakes parade continues with a 6P rear brake kit. Those clamp down on a DSE Gear Effects 9-inch housing filled with their FN988 center section—a unique design that runs an 8.8-inch Ford ring and pinion setup inside the 9-inch case. It’s fitted with a Truetrac differential, offering quiet, reliable performance with less gear whine than a traditional 9-inch setup.

A QA1 coil-over conversion with weld-in brackets handles damping duties, paired with QA1 sway bars and one of the company’s first fourth-gen 9-inch torque arms. A Detroit Speed transmission crossmember doubles as a mounting point for that torque arm. Finishing out the rear suspension are QA1 adjustable panhard rods and lower control arms, giving the setup maximum adjustability for fine-tuning ride height and geometry.

Rolling Stock and Next Steps

For rolling stock, the Camaro rides on Rocket Racing Flare wheels, 18 inches in diameter and wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888R tires in a 315-square setup—more than enough grip for when the LT4 starts to sing.

Right now, it’s a rolling and pushing vehicle, but not for long. The next time you see it, expect it to be running and driving—and likely turning heads everywhere it goes. Stay tuned for the next phase of this fourth-gen resurrection!
