Legendary Automotive Designer Carroll Shelby Passes Away at age 89
The creator of the Shelby Cobra and Shelby Mustang, Carroll Shelby has passed away at the age of 89.
Shelby leaves behind a legacy of some of the finest high performance automobiles ever conceived. The race car driver turned automotive designer worked with Ford, Dodge and Oldsmobile as well as his Shelby-American company. His inductions into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 1991 and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1992 were well deserved, yet a mere fraction of the accolades and contributions that Shelby made to our culture.
