The gates have opened, and the action is ready to start as some of the regionโs hottest LS- and LT-powered vehicles rumble down the tunnel and take their place in the wild, tangy treat that is LS Fest Texas.
Thereโs a potent sense of anticipation as we get started on the biggest gathering of LS- and LT-powered machinery in the Southwest. You can feel it in the air as thousands of spectators come through the gates and rev up for this high-octane nirvana. And itโs all here in the convenient reaches of Texas Motor Speedway โ a smorgasbord of rowdy automotive entertainment that plays out today and tomorrow until 11:00 pm. Within shouting distance of each other are drag racing, autocross, burnouts, drifting and more, all for your enthusiastic, raucous approval.
As the cars and drivers get set up and spectators get settled in, track officials and event staff are getting ready to pull the trigger on Drag Test & Tune, Autocross, Drift, and the Car Show, which all begin soon, at 2:00 pm. Later today, the Drag & Drive Oval Track Cruise and Grand Champion Drag Race Time Trials hit the dragstrip, at 3:30 and 4:00 pm respectively. And when the sun slips down on the horizon, the action only gets hotter at LS Fest Texas. At 7:30 pm, tire roasting maestros Burnout Wars turn the wick up on loads of smokey mayhem in the Burnout Pit. At 8:30 pm, the Drift practice and qualifying session takes over the Road Course.
All the while, you can expect to see some of your favorite fans, friends, and online influencers making the scene. Among the luminary guests this year are Westen Champlin, and the guys from Gas Monkey Garage, along with surprise visits from scores of other vibrant personalities.
