If you’re one of the Mopar faithful, you’ve probably been looking forward to this weekend’s Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA. We certainly have been. However, this year we have more than one reason to be excited about our upcoming visit to the Keystone State.

Hot rod historians, muscle car mavens and drag racing devotees rejoice. The first-ever Hurst Nationals are only a few days away! This upcoming super showcase of Hurst-equipped vehicles is running alongside the Chrysler Nationals Friday and Saturday, July 14th-15th. The inaugural event will fill the Carlisle Expo Center with shining steel and hallmarks of Hurst Performance’s past and recent history. Legends like Bob Riggle, the man behind the wheel of the quarter mile wheel-standing Hurst Hemi Under Glass, one of George Hurst’s original partners, Bill Campbell, and former Hurst engineer, Don Glover, will be in attendance. Over 300 Hurst-prepared vehicles are expected and shuttle service from the fairgrounds, where the Chrysler Nationals will be held, to the Expo Center will ensure that you won’t have to worry about making the trek by foot.

The sights, sounds, seminars and personalities scheduled for this event guarantee that it’s not to be missed, but there is one very special occurrence that will make this weekend’s festivities even more memorable. On Saturday, July 15th Hurst Performance will become the first company ever to be inducted into the Mopar Hall of Fame. This is a distinct honor and an unprecedented initiation into a league of legendary vehicles, racers, designers, and engineers. Flip on the Line/Loc and call us a gas pedal because we were absolutely floored by this announcement…sorry, but we just had to.

In all seriousness, if you are anywhere on the East Coast or just ready to take a trip, jump in a car, truck, train or plane and get to the world’s first Hurst Nationals in Carlisle, PA this weekend. It’s going to be one for the record books.
