Tommy Turner and the Turner Racing Team won the Top Sportsman class at the 34th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals, held May 16-18 at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia. Turner and crew had switched to Holley's Dominator EFI only weeks before the event, and made a visit to Holley's R&D facility to fine tune the normally aspirated 904 cubic-inch Steve Schmidt Racing engine. “Holley's Dominator EFI system was very consistent last weekend," says John Gilford, Turner Racing Crew Chief.
