Weiand is proud to announce the availability of their new Action +Plus™ dual plane intake manifold for small block Chevy engines with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) iron heads, P/N 8121. The 8121 Action +Plus intake is the start of a new era in power for Weiand. Dyno testing of the new Weiand 8121 Action +Plus intake found an additional 25 peak horsepower and 23 lb. ft. over the competitions existing intake design. All this additional power is the result of using the latest in computer design, modeling and flow analysis with new manufacturing processes. Weiand’s 8121 intake uses a permanent mold casting process for a lighter and more consistent casting resulting in runners that are smoother for better fuel atomization and distribution to the cylinders. Each casting is fully CNC machined to give an exact fit and exact port match to the heads with ports measuring 2.02” H and 1.05” W. The 8121makes best power from idle to 5500 RPM’s while giving excellent hood clearance with a front height of 3.38” and a rear height of 4.50”. The Weiand Action +Plus 8121 is available in three finishes, satin P/N 8121, hand polished aluminum P/N 8121P and the new Everbright™ finish P/N 8121C. The Everbright™ finish has the look of polished aluminum and the durability of powder coating. It is low maintenance with no polishing required and will not be affected by heat or gasoline spills.
