The QA1 Autocross at LS Fest 2018 boiled down to a showdown between the drivers who have dominated both LS Fest and LS Fest West in previous years – Mike DuSold and Rich Willhoff. In the end, DuSold, who went on to claim the Vintage Grand Champion crown later in the weekend, and Willhoff, who did likewise in Modern Grand Champion, were separated by just two-tenths of a second.

Willhoff wheeled his 427-powered '06 Corvette to an event-best time of 1:06.7, and DuSold's trick '67 Camaro was just a couple ticks behind him with a time 1:06.9. Feras Abuqartoumy was right on their heels at 1:07.5 at the wheel of his '08 Vette and joined them on the podium with a third-place finish. Addition honors went to Paul Curley, who won Platinum 37 with a time of 36.984 seconds, Dan Ballard, who won Silver 40 with a 39.993, and Mark Willey, who took Bronze 43 with a 42.921.

The Chevy High Noon Shootout presented by Chevy High Performance magazine was ruled by DuSold, who won both Friday and Saturday's competition. A time of 106.207 seconds took him to the top spot on Friday and an even better 105.21 was good for the win on Saturday.
