This side-hung bowl version streamlines plumbing with a single fuel-line connection and includes a universal throttle lever (Ford A/T kickdown provisions, GM 700R4 holes, and bracket mounting for Chrysler applications). The 600 CFM rating is ideal for responsive street combos, while vacuum secondaries maintain smooth drivability and progressive power. Lightweight diecast aluminum resists heat soak, the electric choke tames cold starts, and broad tunability lets you fine-tune cruise and WOT alike.

This model of carburetor has the square bore flange bolt pattern. It can replace Holley, Edelbrock, Carter AFB, and Autolite style carburetors with 5 3/16" x 5 5/8" bolt pattern. If you have a spreadbore style intake manifold, you will need an adapter to install this carburetor. Similar to the Mr. Gasket #1932.

Exceeded expectations

I seldom write reviews, but Holley really deserves some accolades for this carb. The Brawler 600 replaced an old quadrajet that had at least a couple of issues, maybe more. I decided that I didn’t want to chase multiple issues on a 50 year old carb. The Brawler 600 made a huge difference in performance. The only thing that I did was adjust the idle mixture with a vacuum gauge. I welded an O2 bung in my exhaust, so I may do some fine tuning, but I don’t think it really needs it. FWIW, I also picked up about 2.5 inches of vacuum at idle. So, the old carb was also leaking air. The Brawler is a really nice carb that is pre-run, tested and adjusted very close for a lot of applications. I installed on a Chevy 350, mild cam, 9.5-1 compression, aluminum intake. Thanks Holley!

Excellent Carb

With no real carb experience I bought one of these vacuum secondary but a manual choke. Right out of the box it worked without any tuning. Grateful for that as i don't have that skill set yet. Clearly it was tested prior to shipping. Great carb, great price and great company how can you go wrong? thank you holley!

Outstanding out of the box!

Bought this for a 327 built up a bit warmer than stock at 350HP that went in my 57 Chevy. Out of the box and on the car, it started and ran like a champ! Best out-of-the-box carb I’ve bought in 30 years. I plan on replacing the carb on my 1960 Pontiac, I will buy one of these as well.
