Hooker headers is proud to announce the availability of their full length headers for 1999-2005 1500 Series 2WD Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra with 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L engines, Competition P/N 2850HKR and Super Competition P/N 2851HKR. Part number 2850HKR is designed with a 1-5/8” 16 gauge primary tubes for GM trucks with the 4.8L and 5.3L engines. Part number 2851-1HKR is designed with a 1-3/4”18 gauge primary tubes for GM trucks with the 6.0L engine. These headers start with Hookers precision cut 5/16" head flange with a same as port configuration welded to mandrel-bent, tuned-length primary tubes for decreased backpressure & increased exhaust velocity. These combine into a fully welded 3" 3-bolt 6” long smooth transition collector that can be easily adapted to the factory Y-Pipe or, works best with Hooker’s high-performance Y-pipe, P/N 16785HKR for use with Hookers Competition 2850HKR header or P/N16786HKR for use with Hookers Super Competition 2851HKR header. All A.I.R., EGR and 02 fittings are included for ease of installation Hooker’s 2850HKR and 2851HKR headers come finished with a baked on high heat resistant black paint or for a show look Hooker also offer’s the 2850HKR and 2851HKR headers with a Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating, P/N’s 2850-1HKR and 2851-1HKR. This coating provides improved thermal stability reducing the possibility of header cracking. The high luster finish is rust resistant and acts as an insulator resulting in higher exhaust temperatures within the system to increase performance while lowering the under-hood temperatures.
