As the Mayan calendar ends, some have speculated that 2012 could be the end times. A slightly more likely scenario is that the Mayans knew of the milestone events that would unfold revolving around the ARCA Racing series this season. We reached out to Nostradamus experts to see if any of his quatrains predicted outcomes of circle track racing in this century, but our calls were not returned. Here's what we do know: This season is the 60th anniversary of the ARCA Racing Series. Founded by John Marcum initially as MARC (Midwest Association for Race Cars) the name was changed to ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) to allow for territory expansion, on the advice of Bill France, NASCAR's founder. This is also the 8th season where our Mallory CT Pro ignition trays have been included in the race cars of the ARCA series. This Saturday as ARCA invades Pocono Raceway, we will reach 1 million miles of ARCA competition using our CT Pro ignition system. Watch this milestone unfold on SPEED at 3PM ET this Saturday when they bring you the ARCA Pennsylvania 125. Follow along on our Facebook wall for updates and photos We would also like to congratulate the Venturini family and everyone at Venturini Motorsports on their 30th season of championship ARCA stock car racing. Venturini driver Brennan Poole is having a stellar year, currently in 2nd place in this seasons point standings and looking to capture more wins in pursuit of a championship.
