Chris Rini has been aspiring to break into the 5-second quarter mile zone, as has everyone else racing NMCA Pro Street. At this month’s event at Indy, Chris broke two records. He is the first car to run in the 5s in Pro Street with a 5.986 @ 236 mph time slip. That makes him the fastest automatic NHRA Pro Mod car as well. He runs N.O.S. on his ’69 Camaro that packs a 835-cubic inch Big-Block Chevy built by Charley Buck Racing Engines of King, North Carolina. Chris previously ran another nitrous system but with the help of legendary nitrous and tuning master Monte Smith (Monte Smith Performance), Chris achieved his goal of quarter mile slip.
