Since we missed the race in Joliet, IL for the Superbowl we were excited to get back to the track, unfortunately, we did not get any testing as we got the engine only a few days before the race. We got to the track on Thursday afternoon and set up camp for the weekend. For Friday’s test session the car would not spool on the starting line (even though it did fine in the pits) For q1 we made changes to the tune to compensate and the car did a nice wheelie but only showed a 4.98 @ 141 mph on the boards. For q 2 we put a more aggressive tune and the car just did not respond. We went just a tick quicker with a 4.98 @ 143mph. We eventually found that we had a corrupt file in the computer after working on it till midnight while it rained out q3. We headed into eliminations as the #10 qualifier. We had to run a slightly quicker car so we took a shot in the dark on the tune. The scoreboard showed improvement with a 4.94 to his 4.99 but we lost on a holeshot (my first loss during eliminations on a holeshot in a while)
