Danny Popp returned to the LS Fest Grand Champion competition with a different car in an effort to reclaim the title he won in 2013. With the Trackcross event's 25 points being awarded to every competitor, that left drag racing, autocross, and the 3S Challenge as the only events to separate competitors. Popp placed third in drag racing, and first place in autocross and the 3S challenge. That left him with 100 points overall, enough to edge out Josh Leisinger who finished with 92 points and Kyle Tucker who finished with 84 points.
