LS Fest East 2024: Grand Champion

09/10/2024

As LS Fest East marks its 15th anniversary, the excitement fills the air and the competition is fiercer than ever. This year, the Grand Champion competition is sponsored by Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center. So who will emerge as Grand Champion? This title isn’t for the faint of heart. It's reserved for the participant who excels across multiple events, demonstrating excellence in speed, handling, and braking. It's about bringing a car that can not only go fast but can also stop on a dime and handle corners with precision.

Categories and Rewards

The Grand Champion title is contested in several exciting categories, each with its own set of rules and challenges. Nearly 250 cars competed in autocross, drag racing, and the 3S challenge. At LS Fest East, there are two autocross courses – one at Beech Bend Raceway Park, and the other at NCM Motorsports Park, both with unique layouts.

Classes include:

  • Late Model: Open to all cars from 1990 or newer. This category features some of the most modern and finely tuned vehicles competing for top honors.
  • Truck: A diverse category that welcomes trucks of any year, make, or model. Whether it’s a classic hauler or a new powerhouse, trucks are a popular way to vie for the Grand Champion title.
  • Vintage: Arguably the most exciting and diverse class, it's open to 1990 and older vehicles.

For each Grand Champion category, winners are awarded a $1,000 cash prize, a prestigious plaque, and the coveted LS Fest Winner’s Jacket. Winners of the individual categories – autocross, 3S Challenge, and Drag Race – each receive $250.
