If you’re a Trailblazer fanatic you may know who Matt Cole is. He set the unofficial record for the World’s Fastest Trailerblazer SS several years back, running a 7.82 at 142 mph in the ¼-mile. Since then, he’s added tons of goodies and upgrades.
His Trailblazer has undergone a long evolution, now featuring a one-piece front clip, and all four doors as carbon-fiber that Matt laid himself. Only the steel quarter panels and roof remain from the original body.
Since setting the record, he’s run significantly faster, but we don’t know exactly how fast, as Matt has been competing in No-Time 1/8th mile racing. This weekend at LS Fest East he’s running the $10,000 No Time shootout. No Time rules require entries to keep their E/Ts secret.
The Trailblazer features a Mike Cloud-built 427 LS backed by a Rosler Turbo 400. Matt’s friend, Chris Gerard, has plans to reset Matt’s record in his own Trailblazer SS.
