Simpson Fan Day 2025 - Signatures, Smiles, & Safety

10/03/2025

If you pulled into Mooresville, North Carolina, on October 4th and saw the line stretching out of Simpson World East, you knew it wasn't just another work day. Simpson Fan Day has quickly become one of the area's most unique gatherings—part driver meet-and-greet, part shopping spree, part community cookout—and 2025 delivered the biggest crowd since the event was revived three years ago.

Inside, fans lined up for autographs from an all-star cast of drivers, from seasoned veterans like Greg Biffle, Ryan Newman, and BJ McLeod, to rising names like Carson Kvapil and Parker Retzlaff. Biffle, always a crowd favorite, even signed his photo on the wall inside the store.

The sheer variety of talent under one roof was impressive—everyone from pre-teen up-and-comers to Cup Series winners. "Our team felt like Fan Day was a huge success this year," said Jen Washinger, Operations Manager at Simpson. "This was the biggest crowd we've seen since we revamped and brought it back."

Fans made memories of their own. Chase Beck, the 15-year-old autograph collector who's quickly become a Fan Day regular, returned with his speedway history book to add more names to his growing list.

“Hey I need that back,” shouted Jeremy Clements, when a fan brought him his rear fascia from one of his races for him to sign. There are no strict rules about what you’re allowed to have signed. One fan even brought in a large fuel “dump can” like used on pit road.

Out in the lot, Synergy Speedlab had its racing simulator humming as kids and adults alike tried their hand at virtual laps. The Keaton Motorsports dirt modified sat on display, offering fans a closer look at the local racing pipeline. And then there were the hot dogs—simple, but served with purpose. Sales raised $240 for Lake Norman Humane, an organization close to Biffle, who sits on its board.

Ryan Newman and daughter Brooklyn, who competes in Outlaw Dirt Intermediate and Winged Micro classes, finished out the day.

Door prizes, storewide discounts, and rows of Simpson helmets, suits, and gear added to the buzz. The staff stayed busy helping fans get fitted and stocked up, but the vibe stayed casual—drivers mingled, kids posed for photos, and conversations flowed.

When the last autograph was signed and the last hot dog grilled, it was clear that Simpson Fan Day has carved out its own niche.

Door prize winners took home Simpson merch and tons of cool gear and even a $500 gift card.
