The Kibbe and Friends show are back, and this time they have a very special guest cued up for an interview we suspect you won't want to miss. Besides the usual hijinks of Rob, "Corndog" and Bernie, you will notice that this episode does not have a Dukes of Hazzard episode breakdown. Instead, David Freiburger will be the guest of honor, interviewed by the guys. Freiburger's name is well-known in gearhead circles, whether you know him from the Roadkill video series, the many other shows on MotorTrend that he has a part in, or from his magazine days where he had major hands in the path of Hot Rod Magazine, Petersen's 4-Wheel and Off-Road, Car Craft, Hot Rod Deluxe, Rod & Custom, Roadkill Magazine, and many others. His career in print stretches back to 1989, when he started as a freelancer for 4WDrive Action and since 1991 has ran continuously except for a one-year break at his first attempt at the gearhead video scene with CarJunkieTV.com, back in 2007. He's the gap between the legends that were around at the beginning of gearhead culture and the YouTube scene that has brought talented, self-driven wrench spinners to the forefront. He can deep-dive an engine to the point where even the most focused engineer needs to take a ten-minute break, then he'll hop into some clapped-out four-wheeled representation of everything crude and "wrong" with the scene and proceed to show you how it's going to be the most fun you'll ever have. He's just as content on the seat of a World War II-era Jeep in the middle of nowhere as he is strapped tightly into the 1981 Camaro that he's driven at Bonneville and El Mirage. He can speak brand-new parts and the latest and greatest with the same ease as he would have if he was bashing a Thermoquad back to life with a rock.

With a mutual love of the 1969 Dodge Charger, some close ties to the Dukes of Hazzard, and such a storied automotive career, the questions are sure to flow. And there might be a kind of "Lonely Hearts" connection made between a car that David may have met in the past. At least, that's what we think we heard...hit play on the button below and see if you can pick up what we're putting down!
